Capacity Building

One of TLT’s strengths as well as focus areas is our specialized and personalised capacity support. Our in-house, qualified team delivers deep levels of ongoing capacity support to TLT grantees for a period of up to five years.

TLT’s capacity support services include:

• 2 x three day seminars per province annually covering a range of organisational topics
• 2 x one-on-one capacity support workshops annually
• 6-month and annual reviews to reflect on progress and plan for the future
• 7 day leadership training via our Learning Lab
• Regional After School Communities of Practice (pilot project in the Western Cape)

During our three day seminars with grantees, we cover topics such as:

• Developing and effectively using your organisation’s theory of change to increase impact
• Setting up a useful monitoring and evaluation framework
• How to cultivate long-term fundraising
• Setting up your budget, entry level accounting and creating a culture of strong financial controls
• What is good governance for your Board and your organisation, how do you install a values based approach to your work
